About Us: Our association of commercial and residential property owners is established to provide a forum for educating professional property managers and owners through educational materials, exchange of ideas, and programs. In addition, we provide opportunities for networking with others who are experts in your field.
Meetings: Our meetings are held the 4th Thursday of every month at 6:00 p. m. in the Burroughs Place meeting room at 511 Burroughs Street in Morgantown. All landlords are welcome to attend. Come join us this month.
Membership: Our active paid membership of over 150, is composed of a cross section of owners and managers from the greater Monongalia County area. Many of our members cater to students of WVU, Waynesburg, and Fairmont State University; however, we also have a large number of members serving the non-student population. Membership in our chapter automatically includes membership in the statewide association of WVLA. Interested landlords should contact one of the officers listed below or attend any of our monthly meetings.
Agenda: Our meeting topics consist of general discussions on current community events of interest to landlords. In addition, we offer featured speakers in areas of interest to all members. Past topics have included the state insurance crisis, school levy and city capital improvements, the City's trash program failures, Fire Code enforcement, code inspections, law enforcement, security in student neighborhoods, co-operative purschases, infrastructure needs, investment opportunities, 1031 property transfers, state legislative bills and many, many more. Members are encouraged to submit topics to the Executive Committee for discussion at future meetings.
